Apprenticelines is an initiative that evolved out of the New Apprenticeship Project in Studio Ceramics under the stewardship of Mark Shapiro with Steve Theberge during the 2015 NCECA conference in Providence, Rhode Island. The project aims to define and disseminate effective and sustainable models of studio-based learning in ceramics. Building on the 10th Annual Craft Think Tank convened by The Center for Craft, Creativity & Design in 2012, we, in partnership with NCECA, received generous initial support from the The John and Robyn Horn Foundation, to support early stages of the Apprenticelines initiative.
